A Scope
study into attitudes and other obstacles to employing disabled
people identified some startling findings.
11% of
employers said they wouldn’t employ a disabled person
because their clients or customers wouldn’t want to
be served by a disabled person, 37% of disabled people thought
that negative attitudes from non-disabled staff prevented
employers employing disabled people, and a staggering 86%
of disabled respondents said that poor physical access in
the workplace is a barrier to getting employment.
