Minimum Pay
The national minimum wage entitles
• Nearly all workers to a minimum hourly wage.
• Under 18s, agency workers, casual labourers and home-workers are a few who aren’t covered. (Home workers entitlement to the national minimum wage is in the process of changing)
• Your employment status and age will determine what your minimum wage will be.
• The hourly rate for workers aged 22+ is £4.10.
• The hourly rate for workers aged 18-21 and 22+ on the trainee rate is £3.50.
