submitting your CV, draw up a checklist something like:
- Spellchecked for errors
- Typed on computer or typewriter
- Researched company and vacancy
- Included your full contact details
- Kept it concise, clear and punchy
- Sold yourself (skills, qualities and achievements)
- Told the truth
- Read what you've written from the employer's perspective
When you’ve written your CV, walk through the checklist
points listed above and honestly answer each point against
a marking criteria of excellent, average and poor. By doing
this, you should be able to gauge as to how well you have
completed your CV.
